Reuel Lemmons (1912–1989) served as the director of World Bible School after the founder, Jimmie Lovell, serving from 1984 to when he passed in 1987.  His world impact was immense as he wrote prolifically and spoke for many Gospel meetings and lectureships, and as he preached the Gospel in 79 countries.

There’s a song we often sing entitled, “Higher Ground.” The words of the song begin like this…I’m pressing on the upward way, New heights I’m gaining every day; Still praying as I onward bound, “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
