WBS Students Are More Than Numbers

ANGELA IS MORE THAN A NUMBER

After studying some of the WBS Online courses, Student Angela Freeman said, “The most important thing I’ve learned is that I need to be baptized.” Angela’s Study Helper Steve submitted Angela for Follow-up. Follow-up Partner Kella got Angela in contact with Ryan, the minister of a local congregation.

Angela has some anxiety struggles so Ryan arranged to visit Angela at her home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. There, on January 8, 2026, they studied the Bible and then Ryan baptized Angela in her own bathtub! Angela has now placed membership with the local congregation and has been attending worship via zoom. Please pray for Angela, her spiritual growth and her connection with other Christians. 

MORGAN IS MORE THAN A NUMBER

WBS Lite App Student Morgan finished the WBS course “Born of Water and Spirit” and asked his Study Helper Daniel to send a Christian friend to help him be baptized. Daniel submitted Morgan for Follow-up. Follow-up Coordinator Douglas got Morgan in touch with Follow-up Partner Richard. Richard made arrangements for Morgan’s baptism.

We got word in January 2026 that Morgan had been baptized in April 2025 in Benin City, Nigeria. Praise God for Morgan’s obedience to God! Please pray that Morgan remain faithful and grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

CHISALA IS MORE THAN A NUMBER

WBS Lite App Student Chisala had water poured on his head at eight years old along with his younger brother (age 5) and sister (age 2) at a dedication ceremony for his parent’s church. After studying the WBS lessons, Chisala realized his need to be baptized according to Scripture. His Study Helper Frank, submitted him for Follow-up on January 13, 2026.

Follow-up Partner Kennedy baptized Chisala on January 31, 2026 in Lusaka, Zambia. Chisala was connected with a congregation near him. Chisala wrote his Study Helper afterward and said, “Thank you for making this possible.” Please pray for Chisala to connect with other Christians and influence others in his life.

KENNEDY IS MORE THAN A NUMBER

WBS Lite App Student Kennedy registered for lessons in November 2025. As he studied, he had some great questions for his Study Helper Glenda. Glenda did a wonderful job answering Kennedy’s questions and guiding him to Scripture. When Kennedy was ready, Glenda submitted him for Follow-up on January 5, 2026.

A Follow-up Partner arranged for him to be baptized at a nearby congregation. Kennedy was baptized into Christ on January 18, 2026 in Kisumu, Kenya. Please be in prayer for Kennedy and the local congregation which is a new church plant from October 2025. 

KASONDE IS MORE THAN A NUMBER

WBS Lite App Student Kasonde completed the course “Born of Water and Spirit” and requested baptism. He had previously been baptized as a baby. His Study Helper Rodney submitted a Follow-up request for Kasonde. Follow-up Partner Kennedy, contacted Kasonde and arranged to meet him.

Kennedy baptized Kasonde on January 7, 2026 in Ndola, Zambia. Please be in prayer for Kasonde as he begins his life in Christ.
