November 2025 – Coordinators Corner

A Word from the Word

As I am preparing for my next trip, I am struck by one of the videos that I use during these presentations. The video has the song “Ancient Words” in it.  The lyrics of this song speak of the words provided to us by God the Father through God the Spirit to the prophets and apostles who wrote the Old and New Testaments.

These ancient words provide us with hope, strength, and a purpose to live. This song pulls at my heart, speaking about what we have been given through God the Christ. As we read through Isaiah, we see the prophecy about the coming of Christ. In Numbers 9:14, Leviticus 17:8-9, and Leviticus 22:17-25, God establishes a way for foreigners to be part of the Old Covenant. This continues into the New Testament when Jesus fulfills the Old Law, and the Church is established. The separation from Moses to Jesus is about 1500 years. Our separation from Jesus’s death is not much further. We see these ancient words written in the New Testament, calling us to faith in Jesus, building relationship with Jesus and His bride, the Church.

How are people to know the peace intended for them from the “ancient words” if we do not tell them? You are the front lines for sharing this peace! In a world full of darkness and strife, the lost need people like you to tell them of the ancient words God has given us. Throughout the Old Testament, we see individuals turning to the words given to them for comfort. In Numbers 22, the king of the Moabites, Balak, is afraid of Israel. He sends for Balaam to come and curse Israel. Balaam instead turns to God and then blesses Israel in Numbers 23 and 24. Here, Balaam turned to God’s words for comfort in what he needed to do.

Keep sharing the comfort of the words written so long ago! Words of life, hope, strength, and peace. Keep sharing the Holy Words given to us by the One who rules all, God the Father.

Tips, Tricks, and Hacks

If you and your congregation feel overwhelmed with too many students in Ocean Bridge, it is okay to reach out to us and let us know that you need to slow down the new students. It can be overwhelming when lots of returns start coming in. This is a great problem to have with more students going deeper into their studies, but if it becomes too much, let us know! There are other congregations that can share the load while you adapt to the flow of students. Once you are ready for more students, reach out and we will send more.

To contact us about adjusting the flow of Ocean Bridge students, please email ocean-bridge@worldbibleschool.net. If you are having technical difficulties or need some help with online, postal, oceanbridge or Mathetis, please call or email Josh Sneed (737-301-2622, josh@worldbibleschool.net) or James Kinnard (737-301-2634 james.kinnaird@worldbibleschool.net). We would happily talk or visit to discuss the use of any World Bible School resource!
