Philimon Is More Than a Number

By Tim Yaeger, WBS Digital Consultant

In the U.S., we celebrated Thanksgiving in November as a special time to pause and reflect with grateful hearts. We give thanks to God, recognizing His provision, grace and faithfulness in our lives. We are thankful not only for what we have, but for the opportunity to grow in faith and trust in Him. We are thankful for Students like Philimon below, who receive the good news with joy and ask what they must do to obey. What a blessing it is to share God’s love and spread His Word to others!

PHILIMON IS MORE THAN A NUMBER

Follow-up Partner, Kennedy (right) meets with Philimon (left)
Kennedy baptizes Philimon in Lusaka, Zambia

WBS Lite App Student, Philimon, completed the “Born of Water and Spirit” course in September 2025 and requested to be baptized. He was previously baptized because his family wanted it but he did not understand the purpose. His Study Helper, Roy, submitted him for Follow-up. Follow-up Partner Kennedy baptized Philimon on November 15, 2025 in Lusaka, Zambia. Philimon was also connected with the local congregation. Please join us in prayer for Philimon and his journey as a new babe in Christ.
