Reaching Hearts in the US and Beyond

Bro. Tucson D. Redd, Minister  | Heartland Church of Christ

In mid-2020 during the beginning of Covid, many churches across America had either suspended some or all of their in-service Worship and Bible classes due to the pandemic which left many people without the ability to participate in weekly structured Bible study.

This also created a unique opportunity for Heartland Church of Christ to form the “Berean Outreach Bible Class” a weekly online Bible study with a two-fold purpose of offering Church members the opportunity to participate in Bible study from home as well as evangelizing those interested parties who had not been taught the “Good News” of Jesus.

The initial Bible class in March of 2020 started with 2 students but with support of the Mathetis online Bible courses, we were quickly able to reach both intended audiences.

Mathetis online Bible courses have been very instrumental and effective in meeting our intended objectives of encouraging Church members and teaching the gospel to non-Church members, nationally and internationally.

Over the past five years, Berean Outreach Bible Class grew from the initial 2 participants to currently 25-45 weekly participants.

We have had the opportunity to teach participants in 44 of the 50 states in America as well as Jamaica and Canada.

The Lord has blessed us with multiple baptisms from New York, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Florida.

Attached are images of recent baptisms from Illinois (Olivia Wilder, left) in November 2025 and (Tina Rochelle, right) from Texas in January 2026.

I would like to express our appreciation and continued support from World Bible School for our introduction to the Mathetis Bible courses.

The conversation ties Bible study to restoration and emphasizes that following Christ is not a burden, but a path to transformation and mission.
