Joshua is More than a Number

As we reflect on 2024 and look forward to this new year, we at WBS say a prayer of thanksgiving for each of you! As Paul wrote to his brothers and sisters in Philippi, we also say to you, “[We] thank [our] God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of [ours] for you all making [our] prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And [we are] sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:3-6)

In 2024, YOU answered the call of teaching 262,251 Students who were requesting a Bible study. That’s 262,251 souls whom you shared the Gospel message. Praise God! We know God calls each of us to plant and water, but it is God who gives the increase. And it is God, through you, working in the lives of these 262,251 souls to produce fruit like we see in stories like Joshua’s below.

Joshua is More Than a Number

Joshua signed up on the Lite App for WBS lessons in September 2024. He completed all of the Master Series with 100% on each lesson. Once completed, he told his Study Helper, Lois, that he would like help getting baptized. She submitted him for Follow-up on December 1, 2024. On December 15, Joshua, along with his wife and two of his daughters (13 and 14 years old) were baptized into Christ by WBS Follow-up Partner Inyang in Lagos, Nigeria. Inyang is working with the family and helping to connect them with a local congregation. Joshua’s Study Helper, Lois, said, “It reminds me of Cornelius’ family’s baptism in Acts.” Please keep Joshua and his family in your prayers.

BIG Plans for 2025

Thanks to our generous donors, we have been blessed to be able to increase our Online Student recruitment efforts in 2025. Please pray for God to open even more hearts to seek and heed the Gospel message in 2025. We also ask that you pray for “more laborers” (Matthew 9:37-38) as we also pray for a “plentiful harvest”.
