July 2025 – Coordinators Corner

A Word from the Word

What a world we live in! The Lord is reaching out to the lost through each one of us who put on Christ in baptism. What a great privilege we have to serve in the most important mission ever given to the world! In Matthew 28:18-19 we see that mission set before us to go and make disciples of all nations.

Do you wonder if the Kingdom work you are doing is doing good? It is and, as you know, World Bible School has several tools to help you and those you recruit from your congregation. Jesus spent much of His ministry recruiting and equipping individuals for work in the Kingdom. We see in Mark 1:17 where Jesus recruits Simon and his brother Andrew to follow Him. Recruiting and teaching is part of our mission as followers of Christ. We are called to teach the lost and we need to recruit and teach those who have taken up the mantle of Christ to help spread the gospel.

We see throughout scripture the gospel was spread through individuals being taught and then recruited. In Acts 6, seven are recruited and appointed to handle an important task. We should always recruit individuals to help with Kingdom work. If Christ and the Apostles both gave us examples of recruiting individuals, we should follow in their footsteps.

When we give people the opportunity to participate, they get the opportunity to work in the greatest mission of spreading the gospel. We all need others to work and share the joy that comes with teaching the gospel and the salvation in Christ no matter how small the role played.

Sometimes recruiting can be difficult. If you need help, find a champion to help tell the story of the great work you are participating in. You can also reach out to World Bible School and we can visit your congregation to help with the recruiting.
