There is a time for everything. Especially now, the time is to adopt a WBS Student! At the time of this article, there are 3,500 Students ready to adopt on the general Student board. Another 400 are on various church group boards. This is the time to adopt more Students and encourage your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to apply to be Study Helpers and adopt Students. I’m going to adopt and introduce myself to 50 students today. I will take the oldest on the board regardless of their Intro course status. It’s that simple. You adopt, introduce, and then teach when the Student responds. Even if a Student has not completed the intro, adopt them. That simple act of adoption and introduction may be the encouragement they need to continue. I can guarantee that many will not continue. Jesus promises that many will choose not to follow him. The role God has given us is to sow the seed and water, and then God will cause the growth. Keep up the great work, keep on teaching, and let’s press on together in this TIME when the doors have flung open to share the Gospel with the more than 20,000 souls registering with WBS Online each month.
In March 2024, we saw the following activity:

Lightwell is More Than a Number
Lightwell (holding the Bible) registered as a Student in 2017 and was baptized into Christ in March 2024. His story shows that we never know how God works in the background of a person’s life. We received this note from Kennedy (shaking Lightwell’s hand), our country coordinator in Zambia, regarding Lightwell’s journey: “Lightwell reminded me that in 2019 we met at a WBS seminar held in Lusaka at the same church premises where he had just been baptized. He has been to several religious groups searching for the truth and found it through WBS. He has shown a desire to study the Bible further, and I encouraged him to consider Nations University.”
WOW! This is the parable of the sower in action that we see time and time again from WBS Students and Study Helpers. Lightwell found the truth, was baptized into Christ, and now desires to continue his study and one day, Lord willing, teach more lost souls and perhaps even plant more churches for the Lord. This is the harvest Jesus talks about in the parable of the sower, which can become 100-fold from the first seed sown.
Let’s rejoice and pray for Lightwell in his new walk in Christ!
