I remain in awe of how dedicated each and every Study Helper is to adopt so many Students each month. Jesus told His disciples to GO into all the world. You continue to fulfill that commission today! If you notice, the Student Board, it is relatively low but the registrations remain at near record levels. This means you are answering the call. You are sending the light into the world.

We never know who God will send our way. Even when many stop their progress, a few continue. Jesus promised wide was the path to destruction, with many who follow, and narrow was the gate to life, with few who will follow that path. Continue to adopt these precious souls. You may be the first caring friend they have. You may offer some peace in a difficult time. You never know their past story but God has placed you in their present story to share Jesus!

In May 2023, we saw the following activity:

Registrations

  • Online Lessons
    • Web Students: 3,729
    • Postal Students: 553
    • WBS Lite: 7,628

Online Activity

  • 16,218 quizzes graded by Study Helpers
  • 16434 quizzes submitted by Students
  • 10,837 adoptions were made

Debra is More Than a Number

Marsha submitted one of her students for Follow-up in the early part of May.

Quickly, Marsha connected Debra with the minister of the Northeast church of Christ from Kingsport, TN named Jay. He contacted Debra and visited her in person. Jay could tell she loved the Lord very much and had a good understanding of the truth and meaning of having her sins washed away. Debra explained how she recently learned so much from World Bible School and from her Study Helper, Marsha.

Jay became Debra’s Follow-up Partner and baptized her that week! The Northeast church of Christ has connections with a hotel allowing the church to use the swimming pool for baptisms. In a hotel swimming pool, Debra had her sins washed away!

“I had so much weight lifted from my shoulders.” Debra shared how she felt after being born again. Wishing she had taken the step much sooner, Debra felt so thankful that WBS pointed her in the right direction.

Debra does not have a car, at the time of this post, but the Northeast church of Christ has embraced her and is assisting Debra in attending church services. What an amazing modern-day example of Acts 2 when the body of Christ had all things in common and shared with those in need.

If you would like to send us stories of your Students, please email us pictures and information to help@worldbibleschool.net. Ask your Student for permission to share their story with others.

The conversation ties Bible study to restoration and emphasizes that following Christ is not a burden, but a path to transformation and mission.
